NEW WEB PAGE OF THE COMMISSION ACTIVE AND AVAILABLE
After completing of the formalities, the new web page of the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information is active at www.komspi.mk.
Considering the summer holidays and the impossibility to inform the information holders individually, we hereby inform that both web pages will be active in this period, the new one and the old one at www.sinf.gov.mk.
The Commission also informs that the old e-mail address will temporarily be kept in service: sinf@sinf.gov.mk. We will inform the public on the new e-mail address in near future.

REPORT OF THE HELSINKI HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE
The report on the situation of the human rights in the Republic of Macedonia for June 2008, prepared by the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia, amongst other, contains a part about the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Public Information in the practice. We publish the whole text of the Report concerning this issue, in the chapter “Violation of Economic and Social Rights” (the case of Nebojsa Arsovski and the Association of Croats from the Republic of Macedonia).
“Person by the name of Nebojsa Arsovski from Skopje and the Association of Croats from the Republic of Macedonia addressed the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia.

03.07.2008  Workshop for the experiences from the application of the Law on FAPI
LAW ON FAPI – A SCHOOLBOOK OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY
On July 2, 2008, in the Hotel “Holiday Inn” in Skopje a workshop on the experiences from the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Public Information took place, organized by the Commission for FAPI. The President of the Commission, Janko Nikolovski, addressed the participants and expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Great Britain in the Republic of Macedonia, Andrew Key, with who supported the workshop and a part of the large project “Technical Help and Assistance for Rising of the Awareness and for Giving Support to the Application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information”, and to the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Macedonia, Mihajlo Manevski, in whose political mandate the application of the Law on FAPI begun.

NEW WEB PAGE AND A GUIDE FOR FAPI PRESENTED
In the framework of the workshop for exchange of experiences from the application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information that took place at the Holliday Inn Hotel, the new WEB page of the Commission for Free Access to Public Information and the guidebook “The Public Information are meant for issuing not for storing”. The creation of the new web site of the Commission as well as the publishing of the project “Technical Help and Assistance for Rising of the Awareness and for Giving Support to the Application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information”, which is financially supported by the Embassy of Great Britain.
